Sicuramente c'è una tendenza nei jacket per donne--tutti i modelli che abbiamo trovato hanno un sistema di pesi integrati. Certamente, non sei obbligata ad usare questo sistema, ma sicuramente rappresenta un punto in più per una donna. Sul nostro corpo non c'è un posto preferito dove posizionare la cintura di zavorra. Se posizioni i tuoi pesi nella parte posteriore, causano dolore di schiena e, quando la bombola li spinge sulla tua schiena, al minimo ti causano dolore o graffi. Se restano sulle anche causano fastidio. se scivolano nella parte anteriore, ti fanno perdere l'equilibrio. I jacket a sistema di zavorra integrata posizionano i pesi sui lati (alcuni hanno dei pesi non removibili sulla schiena, su entrambi i lati della bombola), facendoti restareben equilibrato e garantendo una protezione tra la bombola ed il corpo. Tutti i jacket rappresentati di seguito sono monosacco. Anche se il rosa è il colore predominante, altre tonalità di colore come verde, blu, viola e nero sono disponibile come rappresentato nel testo di ciascun modello di jacket.

OCEANIC ISLA

Il jacket OCEANIC ISLA ha diverse caratteristiche distintive. Il sacco è fatto di Bioflex, che si stira quando gonfiato e ritorna normale quando sgonfio. Il modello Isla ha il sistema cinghiaggio brevettato Oceanic APS (Adjustable Positioning System). Questo ti permette di ragolare gli spallacci con un ampio range in maniera di garantirti una perfetta regolazione. Il jacket Isla ha due tasche di piombi rimovibili nella parte anteriore che contengono piombi di 1 kg circa. Ci sono due tasche posteriori non rimovibili che contengono 2,5 kg ciascuna. C'è una valvola di sovrappressione nella parte inferiore bassa a destra ed un'altra valvola nella frusta di gonfiaggio. Il jacket Isla è disponibile in tre taglie: la S offre 11 kg di spinta di galleggiamento; la M, 14, e la L, 16 kg. È disponibile in nero oppure nero e blue, rosa o viola al prezzo di lire 850.000 circa.

SEA QUEST DIVA QD

Il jacket SEA QUEST Diva è stato uno dei primi jacket disegnati per donna; il QD ha un sistema di peso integrato. la caratteristica più inusuale del jacket Diva è il suo sistema di seno regolabile fatto di Lycra. Che si combina con una fibbia sternale per un perfetto adattamento. le due tasche rimovibili per pesi nella parte anteriore ospitano pesi fino a 5 kg ciascuno; due tasche per pesi non rimovibili trovano alloggio nella parte posteriore di 2,5 kg ciascuna. Questo jacket ha inoltre uno schienalino di dimensioni minime molto ben rivestito. C'è una valvola di scarico nella parte posteriore in basso a destra, oltre a quella sulla frusta di gonfiaggio del jacket. Il jacket Diva è fatto in nylon a 420 denari; l'XS offre una spinta di 9 kg, la S, 13, la M, 14 e la L, 16. Il jacket Diva QD è disponibile in colore nero/viola oppure nero/magenta al prezzo di vendita di lire 900.000 circa.

AQUA-LUNG ELAN RDS

Il jacket AQUA-LUNG ELAN RDS ha uno schienalino di ridotte dimensioni con sistema di aggancio per bibo. Nella parte interna, un sistema ventrale in neoprene a doppia strip. RDS significa Rapid Deployment Weight System (sistema di sgancio rapido dei pesi). Visto che ha i due alloggi a sgancio rapido che contengono 5 kg circa ciascuna. Nella parte posteriore ha ulteriori due tasche, ognuna delle quali contiene pesi per 2,5 kg non removibili e si aggancia con una fibbia ad aggancio rapido. Il jacket Elan RDS ha una valvola di scarico nella parte posteriore in basso a destra, oltre a quella sulla frusta di gonfiaggio del jacket. È fatto in nylon a 420 denari ed è disponibile in nero oppure nero/violetto. È disponibile in quattro taglie: la XS offre 9 kg di spinta; la S, 12; M, 14; e la L, 16. SCUBAPRO VENUS

Il jacket SCUBAPRO VENUS è uno dei due jacket "tutto dietro" disegnati per donne. È disponibile con l'opzione Sport Bra. Il rivoluzionario sistema backpack trasferisce il peso dalle spalle alle anche. La fibbia ventrale è rivestita e facilmente regolabile. Il sitema removibile dei pesi Venus è costituito da due tasche situate nella parte anteriore. Esse contengono gli Eco-piombi della Scubapro, i quali sono disponibili in 2,5 kg, 1,5 ed 1,2 tasche in vinile. la sacca d'aria posteriore ha una forma a ciambella ed ha due valvole di sovrappressione. Il jacket Venus fornisce una spinta di 16 kg in taglie media e large, un pò meno nella small. È fatto di nylon saldato in poliuterano a 420 denari. È disponibile di colore nero/rosa/viola oppure nero/neon giallo/viola. DACOR XTREMELLE

Il jacket DACOR'S XTREMELLE è decisamente diverso. There are four BC sizes (XS to L; 20 to 33 pounds of lift) and an interchangeable vest in six sizes (XXS to XL). Contoured for a women's body, the formfitting 2mm neoprene vest has a sturdy Delrin zipper on the front. It absolutely prevents the BC from shifting. Since the vest fits perfectly, if you lose or gain a few pounds, simply buy a second vest in a larger or smaller size; it is easily removed and replaced. TherÈs a minimal backpack with plenty of padding. The cummerbund closes with a touch-fastener strip and has elastic panels for a snug fit. The two releasable pockets on the front hold eight pounds of weight each; two non-releasable pockets on the back hold another four pounds each. There is one overpressure relief/dump valve on the bottom right side of the back, in addition to the one at the top of the inflator hose. The XtremElle comes in black, with accents of blue and purple, purple and neon green or pink and purple. It retails for $460.

SHERWOOD LUNA

SHERWOOD SCUBA'S LUNA looks like a traditional jacket BC but has certain features that customize it for a women's body. The well padded shoulders curve around and away from the chest. A nylon webbing strap threaded through the touch-fastener cummerbund keeps the waist snug. The cummerbund has a quick-release buckle. The torso is cut shorter and fits close to the body. The pockets slant down and are pleated so they lie flat but offer plenty of room inside. There is a minimal backpack, well padded on the inside. The releasable weight pockets on either side of the front hold up to eight pounds each. There is one overpressure relief/dump valve on the bottom right back as well as one at the top of the inflator hose. The Luna is constructed of 420 denier nylon and comes in four sizes: the XS offers 22 pounds of lift; the S, 25; the M, 28; and the L, 32. It is available in black with teal or purple and retails for $435.

GENESIS ATHENA

The GENESIS ATHENA is perfect for women who dive in tropical waters. It has a soft backpack with twin tank bands; a soft, velvety material lines the inside. Ultra compact and lightweight, it is easy to pack. The waist is secured with a thin cummerbund with touch-fastener closing. There is also an elastic strap with quick-release buckles. Attached to the cummerbund, it provides a snug and adjustable fit. The Athena's releasable weight pockets are not on the front, they are under the arms and hold up to five pounds each. Two pockets on either side of the backpack hold up to three pounds of non-releasable weights each. The Athena is made of 420 denier urethane-backed nylon. The bladder is gusseted to lie flat when deflated and expand away from the body when inflated. There are two large pockets on the front. The Athena comes in three sizes: the XS offers 25 pounds of lift; the SM, 27; and the MD, 32. It is available in all black or black with blue, pink or purple accents and retails for $440.

BLUE REEF MAIDEL

The BLUE REEF MAIDEL, from Leisure Pro, is one of three women's BCs with a soft backpack, making it perfect for travel because it's lightweight, compact and fits into an incredibly small space. Cut short to fit a women's smaller frame, its padded shoulder straps curve away from the chest. The waist is a combination touch-fastener closing cummerbund with adjustable nylon webbing straps threaded through it, allowing a personalized fit. The straps have a quick-release buckle, thus the waist is secured two ways. The releasable weights are contained in two pockets on the front; each holds 10 pounds. There are two additional pockets (with quick release buckles) for non-releasable weights on each side of the top band of the twin band backpack. Inside, the backpack is well padded with a soft, velvety material. The Blue Reef Maidel is made of 420 denier nylon and features an overpressure relief/dump valve on the lower right side of the back as well as one at the top of the inflation hose. It comes in four sizes. The XS offers 22 pounds of lift; the S, 25; M, 28; and the L, 32. It retails for $225.

FORTE SIRENE

The FORTE SIRENE, from Cal Pacific Mfg., features a shorter overall cut to fit a woman's smaller torso. It has a soft backpack, thus is very lightweight, compact and packable. The backpack has dual tank bands. At the waist is an unusual cummerbund with touch-fastener strip and adjustable straps, allowing a custom fit. It closes with a large quick-release buckle. The padded shoulder straps curve away from the chest. The releasable weight pockets on the front hold up to 10 pounds each. Two non-releasable weight pockets on either side of the top tank band close with quick-release buckles and hold up to four pounds each. There is one overpressure relief/dump valve on the bottom right back as well as one at the top of the inflator hose. The Sirene is made of 420 denier nylon. The XS offers 22 pounds of lift; the S, 25; the M, 28; and the L, 32. It is available in black, black/pink or black/purple and retails for $340.

SEA QUEST LIBRA

Sea Quest offers two women's BCs; the LIBRA is the one with back inflation. It has a very open chest area and minimal backpack. The waist closes with a large quick-release buckle and there is one fold-down pocket. The strap connecting the shoulders to the waist has an innovative swivel buckle and triangular load distribution system. The releasable weight pockets are on either side of the cummerbund; each holds up to 10 pounds. Two non-releasable pockets on the back hold up to five pounds each. The Libra is made of 420 denier nylon. There is one overpressure relief/dump valve on the bottom right of the bladder, in addition to the one at the top of the inflator hose. The horseshoe shaped buoyancy bag has a three dimensional design and lies flat when not inflated. A small Libra has 30 pounds of lift; medium and medium large have 36. The Libra comes in black or black/magenta and retails for $495.
